ANAK-ANAK KITA YANG MAMPU PERGI JAUH JIKA DIDIDIK DENGAN BAIK

Setelah lebih seminggu program ini dijalankan, sambutan daripada murid Sekolah Kebangsaan St Joseph amat mengalakkan. Namun, sebagai seorang guru, saya harus mempelbagaikan agar murid tidak bosan. Seperti yang sedia maklum anak-anak kecil cepat berasa bosan apabila kita lakukan aktiviti yang sama saban hari.

Hasrat menjadi jurulatih olahraga tercapai, ianya bermula di padang SK St Joseph. Terima kasih diucapkan kepada pihak pentadbiran terutamanya guru besar SK St Joseph Pn Ng Seng Lay yang memberikan peluang kepada saya untuk membimbing murid-murid sekolahnya.

Saya harap program ini akan berterusan walaupun saya kemungkinan besar tidak dapat ditempatkan di sekolah tersebut semasa tamat pengajian pada akhir tahun ini. Saya sedar bahawa usaha saya barangkali akan terhenti jika ditempatkan jauh daripada sekolah ini, namun apakah daya saya? Saya akan cuba berkhidmat dan memberikan apa yang termampu kepada murid-murid, kerana ini akan membantu mereka pada masa hadapan.

Akhir sekali, saya amat berharap pihak yang prihatin dapat membantu program ini dalam apa jua bentuk. Ini bukan untuk kepentingan mana-mana pihak, tetapi ia adalah untuk kecemerlangan sukan negara dan juga masa depan anak-anak kita.

Salah siapa? Namun saya tetap berusaha!

Cikgu Vasan : Kalau begitu kamu bagi borang kebenaran ini kepada ibubapa untuk tandatangan.

Murid-Murid : Terima Kasih Cikgu.

Pada hari tersebut saya melihat murid-murid begitu bersemangat hendak menunjukkan bakat masing-masing. Walaupun ramai yang tidak mampu untuk bersaing dengan sekolah lain, keyakinan saya terhadap murid-murid tersebut begitu tinggi kerana mereka berbekalkan semangat yang begitu kental.

Satu perkara yang terlintas dalam fikiran saya, mengapa sukan olahraga di negara kita makin lama makin suram? Salah siapa? Kita mempunyai ramai anak-anak muda yang begitu bersemangat hendak menjadi atlit, namun negara kita kurang berjaya dalam sukan olahraga ini. Saya sedih melihat bakat-bakat cilik di kebanyakkan sekolah terkubur begitu sahaja.

Dan dengan ini saya berjanji akan mengetengahkan bakat-bakat ini yang sekian lama terpendam dalam hati anak-anak Malaysia ini. Saya akan mengerahkan segala kudrat saya untuk perkembangan sukan olahraga tanah air. Mungkin ramai yang berfikir bahawa bolehkah saya membuatnya seorang diri. Tanggapan ini adalah salah memandangkan ramai jurulatih dan cikgu-cikgu di luar sedang berusaha siang dan malam untuk memajukan sukan olahraga ini. Saya akan bersama-sama mereka untuk membangunkan sukan olahraga yang saya cintai selama ini.

PROFIT (BILLION)

Over the past three decades since Petronas was set up, the national oil company has contributed RM426.6 billion to be exact, almost half a trillion ringgit to the government's coffers.

According to Mahathir, during his 22 years at the helm between 1981 and 2003, Petronas paid RM168.8 billion to the government. However, that figure jump dramatically in recent years due to the sharp hike in global oil prices. So Anwar was right that our nation is richer when the world fuel price rise.

Lack of Patriotism

Three year after HINDRAF march, the things have not changed much. HINDRAF seems like lack of patriotism. While Malaysian Indians have their own nationality and Malaysia as their beloved nation, they decided to seek help from the Indian government itself urging the Indian government to provide places of study and scholarships to Malaysian Indian students. For me, this was an irrational act by HINDRAF which brought bad impression. Furthermore, it’s indirectly making other races question about our loyalty to the nation. Any problem we can settle it inside our nation. In fact, HINDRAF is making the situation much worst.

HINDRAF betrayed Malaysian Indians

It’s a fact that Malaysian Indians awakened from the HINDRAF factor because of its previous apolitical approach in fighting for the ethnic rights. But now since HINDRAF formed Human Rights Party, people feel betrayed by Uthayakumar. Many of Malaysian Indians trusted Uthaya’s leadership and HINDRAF leadership very much before he turned as a politician.

Still some of the Malaysian Indians believe his ‘empty’ struggle which he has transferred the support from HINDRAF to his own political benefit. HINDRAF/HRP is now more to criticise both Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Rakyat. Instead of doing this, they should sit in the same table, work and discuss with both of the parties for ethnic Indians well beings. This clearly shows that HINDRAF/HRP is more to play politics, not for helping the Indians.

Leadership confusion

Waythamoorthy, Uthayakumar, Kenghadaran, Manoharan, Ganapathirao and Vasantha Kumar are the HINDRAF top leaders who worked hard to form the organ and lead Malaysian ethnic Indians fought against federal government on 25 November 2007. But since Waythamoorthy ran away to London fearing that he could be arrested in Internal Security Act Malaysia, the rest five of them were arrested under the security act.

During the detention, the truth revealed when Vasantha Kumar stated that Uthayakumar has misused the HINDRAF’s money, since then HINDRAF’s leadership broken into pieces. The leadership crises are worsening when Vasantha Kumar and Ganapathirao joined a hand forming another team. They also wanted Waythamoorthy to back to Malaysia to face whatever possiblities if he is a true fighter.

Misused of HINDRAF funds

After Vasantha Kumar during his ISA detention revealed the ugly truth about the misuse of fund by Uthayakumar, V Ganabatirau has accused the P Waythamoorthy of using millions of ringgit collected from the people for his personal use while in self-imposed exile in London several months ago.

The millions of ringgit that collected from Malaysian Indians during the HINDRAF rally lost just like that, Uthayakumar and Waythamoorthy failed to tell the truth about the fund. In several other occasions, they refused to answer about this claim.

HINDRAF hijacked by Waythamoorthy, Uthayakumar, Thanenthiran and Jeyathas

When we talking about HINDRAF and Makkal Shakthi, it all belongs to the people. The people is HINDRAF, and the HINDARF is people. But the leaders 'hijacked' Indians for their own benefits and refuse to hear people's voice.

Waythamoorthy and Uthayakumar might have planned to ‘collect’ more money by involving in politics. The problem to consider was peoples support, so the both used HINDRAF to form own political party. The shameful truth is hard to believe, but just look at their press statements nowadays, all focusing on attacking government and opposition, not fighting for the pledge of minority.

Waythamoorthy appointed HINDRAF co-ordinator Thanenthiran is another traitor in fact. He ‘sold out’ Makkal Shakti to Najib by forming Makkal Shakthi Party which support the cruel government. The Malaysian Indians again betrayed by HINDRAF leaders.

Most of us still thinking that why Jeyathas also in this list, but he is not that bad as you think. I pity of this man, who being loyal to Uthayakumar since long time ago. Uthayakumar is using this man for his purpose, hope Jayathas realise it when he is also highlighted in ‘traitors’ list.

Empty promises

After few months promising that he will not organise any street protest, and now he is going to his old habit. He organised several protests to show his dissatisfactions. Such protests are nothing more than cheap publicities for his new race based party, Human Rights Party (HRP).

Between that, I wish to know his ‘landmark plan’ that he said he has been created during his ISA detention. Is he cheating the Malaysian Indian again and again? Let wait and see.

Racial politics

In reality, Human Rights Party and HINDRAF are racially dividing Malaysian Indians from the mainstream politics and organizations. Younger generation should reject such movements push for racial lines which will bring us backward in uniting with other ethnics in our nation.We ethnic Indians in Malaysia must put Malaysia’s interest first before our minority interest.

MIC formed in 1946, next PPP formed in 1953 followed by IPF, MIUP, Mindraf and MMSP, and finally HINDRAF reemerge as HRP (Human Rights Party). So what's the different between MIC and HINDRAF/HRP now? All of them are in same group which we can call them as racist.

Let’s work with other races in building a Malaysia for all Malaysians. Let’s fight for the removal of racial politics, in fact all the minorities get benefit if racial politics removed and the poor citizen/minorities will get equal attentions from the government.

Do We Need to Spend More Than RM1 Million to Promote Our Tourism?

Once again, the people have been cheated by the government. Tourism minster Ng Yen Yen spent more than RM1 Million for only several months by travelling around the world. People money spent lavishly by such leader, in fact government are cutting allowances of the government servant to spend for their own travel. A source from Malaysiakini news portal written that Yen Yen has been on 16 visits overseas, these visits include 26 countries and 61 cities up to October 2010. Do we need such visits to promote our nation? Don’t you think it’s wasteful? She has come under siege by opposition MPs demanding answers over her widely publicised trips abroad during the current sitting of the Dewan Rakyat.

Several MPs have been quizzing Yen Yen on the details of her trips, particularly to New Zealand and Australia which had cost RM245,000. She hand-delivered her written reply in parliament, accounting for all her trips to date this year. This revealed that she had attended six international forums and seven 'missions' across the globe. She used at the high cost of RM491, 987 to a seven-day mission to Europe from May 25-31, in fact, with a similar trip to Europe covering four cities over 10 days which only cost about RM300, 000 according to a source.

I hope tourism ministry carefully handle this big sum of money, they should upgrade the tourism related infrastructures and sites instead of wasteful overseas trips. How can we know conclude that the increase in the tourism ranking is the result to Yen Yen's travels and not due to other factors? The government cutting cost on education and several other important sectors saying that they have no money and people’s subsidies have to be withdrawn, so when the people are suffering, the government have not shown any sign of saving people’s money. Sigh! This is the government that you have voted for?

More than RM1 Million taxpayer’s money spent for Yen Yen, yet more than 60 cities around the world travelled by Yen Yen, but no one can question her since she is a part of the federal government. Furthermore, the opposition lack of opportunity to spread the cheats and corruptions of the government. Let’s save Malaysia for our future generations!

Worst Ever Press Freedom Ranking: The Making of a Failed Nation

Malaysia failed terribly to capitalise on last year's momentum where it moved up one notch from 132 to 131. Recently 2010 World Press Freedom Index shows our nation sunk 10 rankings to 141. In fact, this is the lowest ranking in nine years that putting it firmly in the bottom quarter of 178 countries. The poor performance of Malaysia is absolute evidence that federal government is not really opens for critics and face the upcoming challenges. A report from Malaysiakini stated that the issues which have perhaps affected Malaysia's poor ranking include the Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commission's investigation into Malaysiakini's cow-head video, the arrests of bloggers and the ban on a number of books by cartoonist Zunar.

The 2010 Press Freedom Index also stated that Singapore (136) outranked Malaysia for the first time since Paris-based press watchdog group Reporters Without Borders (RSF) began releasing its ranking in 2002. Meanwhile, Finland, Iceland, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland share the No 1 spot. The United States remains at No 20, sitting at the bottom end of the ranking are North Korea (177) and Eritrea (178). Apart from North Korea, Asia's three communist regimes - China (171), Vietnam (165) and Laos (168) - are among the 15 lowest-ranked countries.

This is the result of reality over the past half century. Our independence online portals and opposition publications like Malaysiakini, Malaysia Insider, Malaysia Today, DAP's Rocket, Pas's Harakah and Keadilan's publication become more popular among Malaysians due to the bias approach by BN-controlled mainstream print and broadcast media, like Star, NST, Utusan, Chinese and Tamil papers, TVs and radio stations. This is why Independence portals and opposition publication frequently face pressure from the government.

Some would have compared Malaysia with Singapore and Brunei, but how things going on in their nation? They have a firm economy to rely on, quality education for their generations, solid performance in combating corruption and look at their marvellous security which guaranty a safe place for their citizen. Do the same thing happen is our nation? We are getting worst in every aspect, plunging terribly in Universities ranking, Press Freedom Index, corruptions, security, budget deficit, judiciary, sports and many more.

Budget 2011: Do Malaysians Need Short-Term Popularity?

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak appeared to reach for the out-dated 100 story tower mega-project plan, do you think this is to lift the economy towards high-income status? His 2011 Budget confirmed the return of big Malaysia, with a row of announcements headlined in local dailies starting with the construction af a tower in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

The budget totally disappointing various stratum of Malaysians especially medium class and low class citizen like you and me, we are hoping for more fundamental reforms in terms of upgrading the nation’s productivity and economy. Among large construction projects that will kick off besides the infamous RM5 billion 100-storey Warisan Merdeka tower are the RM43 billion new KL MRT project, RM26 billion KL International Financial district, RM3 billion integrated eco-resort in Karambunai, Sabah, construction of multiple new highways, and the development of the 1,084-ha Malaysian Rubber Board land in Sungai Buloh.

Under Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, the country also saw the construction of the iconic Petronas Twin Towers, which, when completed, was the tallest buildings in the world. But the 100 story Warisan Merdeka tower could not stand as tall as 162-story Burj Khalifa Tower in United Arab Emirates. So do we have any cause to proud of? Government must stop mega projects and start stressing on economic growth and should boost investor's confidence to spend in our nation. In fact, such project never improves our standard of living.

According to the 2011 budget, a total of RM163 billion going to be spent for operational expenditure, so this means civil servants consuming almost 75% of the budget, I do not see how this Budget is rational with the prime minister’s intention to let the private sector lead the economy. This fact indirectly proves that our economy status will further plunge to the rubbish, Mega projects that draw popularity for Najib’s administration only heading for short-term interest.

We are not dreamers! Our success is not mere coincidence but the result of clear and careful planning as well as firm implementation of the government. If our government failed to plan for us and definitely we are heading towards a failed nation. Of all the tall skyscrapers, and dreams, where are the implementation of education? Our government plan to remove PMR examination that will further affect our students. May be this is to cut the cost on the papers, who knows? In fact, its not right to waste taxpayer’s money on such project.

Mega projects by PM Najib never going to create a high income economy. Is there an absolute need to have the 100 storey tower? Can he explain to the people why we build this tower? Is there a specific need? A wastage with 100 story building that cost RM5 billion, this amount of money can be better use in other sectors. “1 Malaysia" rhetoric spewing out his mouth frequently, but the people never experience the actual ‘transformation’ that he is meaning about! Definitely the poor Malaysians need long-term interest rather that short-term popularity in the 2011 budget!

Will UMNO Change?

For the past several decades, UMNO was fighting for the Malays. Will it change itself to be the fighter for all Malaysians regardless of ethnicity and religion? It’s a fact that UMNO has created more racialist than nationalist. This is not good for us since Malaysia is a multiracial nation.

There are numerous of leaders and medias of UMNO that incited racial statements publicly, such incidents more rampant in recent years. I have several examples of UMNO's racism that taken from the nut graph.

*UMNO controlled Utusan Melayu frequently publishing sensitive articles, read here- Melayu jangan jadi bacul, Bangkitlah Melayu, Ketuanan Melayu tercabar - Kaum lain lebih dominan, Persoal pemimpin Melayu tolak DEB, Melayu dikhianati?, Kepentingan pelajar bumiputera diambil kira and much more. Such articles are not reflecting UMNO's sincerity to unite the Malaysians.

*Do you still remember Bukit Bendera UMNO head Ahmad Ismail's statement against the non-Malay in November 2008? He insisted that all non-Malays are squatters in this country.

*How about the Keris waive by Dato Hishamuddin in the 2006 and 2008 UMNO general assembly? Is he fit to be vice-president of UMNO after all in Najib's leadership? In the recent incident, Hishamuddin defended the cow head protesters who insulted the Hindu community in Malaysia.

*Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar who warned non-Malay Malaysians not to question the concept of ketuanan Melayu and that it was "not a joke to be fooled around with"? So how if we have a professional discussion on the topic? I'm sure you will say it is too sensitive to discuss about. Let me tell you that nothing is sensitive if you openly discuss about it. Quality discussions and debates make us more understand each others!

*Head of the Johor state, Abdul Ghani Othman objected the use of the 'BANGSA MALAYSIA' term, he stated that it was 'rojak' and not acceptable. Such leaders should change their mentality, if they refuse to change, then UMNO should kick out this kind of negative leaders who oppose the 'Malaysia for all Malaysians' concept. Definitely, the unity itself should come from you UMNO leaders, but you are not so open minded to make it!

UMNO always sees itself as Malay nationalist and conservative representing the Malays of Malaysia and generally regarded as the "protector or the champion of 'ketuanan Melayu'. Can they change their ideology to 'ketuanan rakyat' which favours to all Malaysians regardless or race and ethnicity? This is a request from a Anak Bangsa Malaysia that thirsty of equality.

Dear brothers and sisters, don't forget that if although you or me have forgotten these incidents, the history will never forget them. Remember that history will tell our younger generations on what had happened in our country. So I hope UMNO leaders reform themselves and their party immediately to regain the confidence of the Malaysians. Its better late than never!

Due to Malaysia’s heavy dependence on oil and gas, the economists predict that our nation will received a high impact on economy when earth stop provides the natural resources. According to the World Bank, our country is too reliant on the oil and gas to generate our economy. Read further about Malaysian economy: Economy of Malaysia

This is meaning that we have no back ups to recover our economy during the time we lost the biggest income of the nation. Our leaders never had thought that one day the oil will dry up and they need to do something to save our economy. By broaden our economy rather than depending on the natural resources, we can minimise our risk to flop as a ‘bankrupt nation’.

The wasting of money to develop F1 cars, new palaces, submarines, helicopters and so on will further risk Malaysia in near future. Our government should wisely spend Petronas income by focusing on the economy and to facilitate the people by providing better schools, roads, bridges, hospitals, temples, mosques, and other positive developments.

The report by World Bank also stated that about 40% of the country’s revenue is from oil and gas. Hope our leaders craft new plan to face upcoming possibilities, perform an immediate revision on World Bank’s report. Our leaders must take full responsibility on this matter and do something before it’s too late.

Si Sepet, Si Kaki Botol: Kepentingan Kursus Biro Tata Negara Dipersoalkan

Walaupun ramai yang tidak ada pengalaman menghadiri kursus Biro Tatanegera (BTN), segenlintir peserta yang pernah menghadiri kursus tersebut menyifatkan kursus ini hanya membawa keburukan serta menjadi pemangkin kepada perpecahan kaum di negara kita. Malah ini juga membuktikan kursus tersebut hanya bermotifkan kepentingan politik pihak tertentu untuk kekal berkuasa dengan hanya menanamkan sifat perkauman di kalangan peserta.

Seperti kes yang berlaku baru-baru ini, Timbalan Pengarah BTN Hamim Husin didakwa mengeluarkan kenyataan yang berbaur perkauman terhadap masyarakat Cina dan India. Jika benar ia berlaku, seperti yang ditekankan oleh sesetangah pemimpin tempatan, kes ini harus disiasat dibawah akta hasutan 1960 kerana ia boleh mengugat keharmonian negara seterusnya mencetuskan rasa tidak puas hati dalam kalangan minoriti terhadap sistem negara. Baca di sini- Si sepet dan si kaki botol analogi yang jijik oleh BTN dan Si sepet, si botol: Itulah wajah sebenar Umno.

Walaupun pelbagai pihak tidak setuju jika program ini diteruskan, kerajaan tetap dengan pendirian mereka untuk meneruskan program ini, Timbul laporan-laporan daripada peserta kursus terutamanya daripada bukan Melayu bahawa kursus Biro Tatanegara menyebarkan ideologi yang bersifat perkauman, sehinggakan mengundang kebencian ke tahap yang kritikal terhadap kaum-kaum minoriti di negara ini.

Kerajaan telah bersetuju untuk merombak sukatan program kursus in atas desakan oleh pihak pembangkang pada tahun 2009. Namun hasilnya tidak kesampaian apabila kes-kes seperti ini masih dilaporkan. Diharapkan agar kerajaan tidak mengunakan kursus Biro Tata Negara sebagai medan untuk meluaskan politik perkauman untuk kekal berkuasa. Saya juga ingin mendapatkan komen daripada peserta yang pernah menghadiri kursus ini untuk mengesahkan dan mendapatkan maklumat lanjut tentang apa yang sedang berlaku dalam kursus ini.

KURSUS BIRO TATA NEGARA

Zunar - Cartoonist as Activist...

Many of us asking who is Zunar and what he have done until police arrested him under Printing and Publications Act and Sedition Act. Zunar aka Zulkiflee bin S.M. Anwar Ulhaque is a politics cartoonist who go against government’s poor systems and policies with his piece of cartoons. Previously he published three political comics – 1 Funny Malaysia, Perak darul Kartun and Isu Dalam Kartun.

Although the three books were banned by home ministry saying that the books were threats to nation security, he dares to take risk in releasing new book entitled ‘Cartoon-o-phobia’. The reality is, his comics never a threat to national security, but only threat to the government. I never have seen any riots or public disorder once people read his book. So what is the root to arrest him? Government should find out their weakness and try to correct it, not shut up the mouth of activists with such arrests!

The fact is such arrest never fears activists. The rising activist like Namewee (Wee Meng Chee) and Zunar (Zulkiflee bin S.M. Anwar Ulhaque) deserved praise from fellow Malaysians since they braved themselves in expressing people voice through music and cartoon respectively.

According to Zunar, Cartoon-o-phobia was chosen as the title to illustrate and reflect the fears of certain parties to cartoons. The cartoonist said that the content of this latest book have more bite compared to his previous books. The issues covered are the murder of Altantuya, the conspiracy against Anwar Ibrahim, the PM's wife, the loss of jet engines, the Scorpene that cannot dive, Sarawak, racism, corruption and waste of public funds, among others.

I urge all Malaysians to support Zunar, his good intention need to be praised and we should appreciate such a spectacular fighter who born in our nation. Zunar’s new book Cartoon-o-phobia will be sold at RM25. It can be purchased online via Cartoon Kafe. You can also add him in facebook.

Berdasarkan sejarah dan kajian ahli arkeologi, orang Melayu terbukti sudah lama mendiami Tanah Melayu termasuk Melaka yang diketahui umum berada di Alam Melayu atau disebut Malay Archipelago yang meliputi kawasan luas seluruh Nusantara.

IKARMAN Wagino, 54 dari Rengit, Johor mengaku datuknya berasal dari Jawa Tengah dan merantau ke negara ini pada 1905 dan berkahwin dengan orang tempatan.

Daeng Salim Daeng Kechik, 48 yang kini menetap di Kuala Lumpur juga mengesahkan ayah dan datuknya berketurunan Bugis yang berhijrah ke Johor.

Seorang lelaki dari Tumpat, Kelantan yang kini berusia 65 tahun pula menyatakan datuk dan neneknya adalah Melayu Champa dari Kemboja sebelum berhijrah ke Kelantan pada awal 1930-an manakala Mohd Mirza Gulam, 56 pula mengatakan datuknya berasal dari Pakistan dan berkahwin dengan rakyat tempatan.

Kini semua mereka adalah orang Melayu berwarganegara Malaysia. Cuma ada sesetengahnya berwajah kacukan dan campuran Cina, Mamak, Pakistan, India dan Arab. Malah rata-rata orang Melayu apabila ditanya asal-usul dan keturunan nenek moyang, mereka mengatakan adalah pendatang dari Indonesia, India, China, Kemboja malah dari Arab. Mereka seolah-olah tidak mahu mengatakan anak jati negara ini kerana dikhuairi dituduh keturunan Orang Asli.

Jika begitu andaiannya, Melayu yang menjadi penduduk majoriti negara ini bukanlah anak jati atau penduduk asal negara ini atau mereka juga mungkin layak dikatakan sebagai pendatang seperti Cina dan India. Jadi, siapa penduduk asal negara ini? Adakah Orang Asli boleh dikategorikan sebagai penduduk asal.

Kalau ada yang mempertahankan Melayu sebagai penduduk asal, apa buktinya?

Reform Education System to Foster Unity among Young Malaysians...

Racial sentiments, riots, inequality in power sharing, fanatic personalities, discriminations against minority and I have a long list on showing unity among Malaysian in dilemma. I think the unity not suppose to be a topic to discuss after Nation’s 53 years of independent.

We Malaysian are predominantly divided by politics and education. Although there are a lot of factors we can assume as threat to our unity, but in my opinion education and politics are the most influential aspect. Before this, I have written before about politics, but this time I’m going to elaborate how education divided us and how education can bond the Malaysian as one again.

Let me start from primary education, the role of vernacular schools are undeniable, however the schools are not relevant for current and future Malaysia. As we know the gaps between races are far more worrying. We must bring one system which only with national schools. Vernacular schools abolished and the Tamil and Mandarin must made compulsory. This will make our education system become competent.

All races combined in National schools striving towards one direction and vision. Schools students won’t think about the difference of race when they still in the primary school when they mix together in one surrounding as BANGSA MALAYSIA. So the style will continue to secondary schools, Universities and so in their life. Now what’s happening in school? The majority of the students from vernacular schools continue their relation only with their friends that they have from primary schools. And even the new buddy they approach also among same race. Similar things happen in universities and even in working environments.

UNITY CAN BE ACHIEVED THROUGH REFORMATION OF THE EDUCATION SYSTEM

Since independent, we are witnessing, there are a lot of NGOs, individual and nevertheless party politics are claiming that they are championing the vernacular schools. In our nation, a lot of struggles to develop these vernacular schools and some politician even politicking this issue for their personal benefit. They have forgotten that it’s their responsibility to upgrade the schools. I think we don’t need such politicians to defend our schools, they fooling the people and the people also being cheated again and again in many occasions.

Rather than struggling for nothing and finally we lost everything. We must ready to change and to be changed. Please be brave enough to make some reformation in our nation. If we carry on with the same school system, we not only lost national unity but also our Tamil language and Tamil schools. Lets we do some calculation. Currently, Tamil school students in Malaysia is more than 110 000, the number of schools is 523. In 10 years time the number of students will increase tremendously may be around 150 000. Just calculate in 20 years time, we will have around 200 000 pupils with only 523 schools.

Tamil school’s condition not allows such number of students. Even now also we are facing massive problems such as lack of classrooms, basic amenities and some schools even no roof to protect the students from sun and rain. Although these upsetting situations continue to pressure Tamil schools from continuously in defending Tamil, but it doesn’t work effectively. Most of the parents want their children to study in conducive environments.

And even some of the parents couldn’t send their children since the nearest Tamil school packed with students and closed for registration. Following the national school doesn’t mean minorities in Malaysia has given up their effort. Malaysian Indians right not under threat if we tolerate in this matter, in the other hand equal rights of receiving educational facilities guaranteed. And the most significant thing is unity and relationship among our new generation improved definitely. We educated to be liberal minded since no prejudice among all group of people. We learn a lot regarding others culture and have better understanding between each other.

Some Tamil and Mandarin pundits worrying that growth of the languages under risk if vernacular schools removed, I believe with the one National schools system, Tamil and Mandarin will grow much more promisingly. As we know there are moral classes for non-Muslim students during religious class for Malays. The moral should be replaced with Tamil and Mandarin language subjects. In the other point of view, the Tamil learning students motivated to learn Tamil when Chinese students learning Mandarin by giving full commitment. Tamil learning students definitely will take their initiative too to emulate the Chinese after witnessing their spirit to learn the language.

Back to the relationship within the ethnic, role of education is really important. So lets we together give up own agenda and change our mindset to emphasis on National agenda. There are always solutions behind each problem. Don’t use the same approach to solve the same problem again and again, it won’t works. As the result, finally we get nothing for our struggle, try to accept the fact that we need to strive together upon national agenda to get equal rights and opportunity. Please brave enough to change or to be changed!

I hope no street demonstrations, no other ISA arrests, no tears, no hurts, no politics, no discrimination, and no marginalization, nothing after this. Please think smart, think for our future Malaysia, unity we can achieve through the reform of education system.

Racial politics and the rich In the year 2006: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on his release from 6 years of prison said in a number of interviews that the NEP should be abolished and that all races should be given equal opportunities and also that the NEP was bad because only the cronies of UMNO party became rich from it, however Khairy Jamaluddin from UMNO party hit out at him (Anwar Ibrahim) for saying that.

Malaysian politician Chang Ko Youn put forward "Malaysia has practised racial politics for 51 years and we know it is divisive as each party only talks on behalf of the racial group it represents... When all races are in a single party, no one person will try to be the champion of the party.... It is easy to be a Malay hero, a Malaysian Chinese hero or an Malaysian Indian hero but it is difficult to be a Malaysian hero.... The country is facing economic problems now and it is important that the Government and political parties come up with a Malaysian agenda on how to unite the people and face these challenges..."

Marina Mahathir wrote: "...The same thing happened in our country. Unfortunately, race politics has not really died down yet, and some people reacted as if ethnic cleansing had just taken place...."

Michelle Gunaselan wrote: "...I am often ashamed and angry about what has happened to the industry, to my view of what is an honourable profession. My friends who wrote powerful things – beyond our age, perhaps – about human rights abuses, race politics, and much more in our college newspapers, now sit back and allow their editors to change key facts in their stories. We now maintain “elegant silences” about each other’s choices. I don’t profess to be a model journalist, I think I could still do better, and I have a long way to go, but I do admire them for trying to work under these difficult circumstances. After all, I have, I suppose, taken the easy way out by writing for magazines (on political features) where I am not necessarily subjected to the same sorts of political influence and Government ownership and control issues as the mainstream media."

Politician Datuk Ngeh Koo Ham when he was asked, "What do you dislike most about Malaysians?", he replied: Racial politics

Chris Anthony wrote: "...After 53 years of living and working together side-by-side, the people have voted to do away with racial politics but unfortunately the politicians are far from showing signs of heeding their calls for multiracialism...."

Philip Bowring of International Herald Tribune wrote that the political organization of Malaysia has long been largely on racial lines, Islam has at times become a device for use in racial politics, a yardstick for measuring the commitment of competing parties to Malay racial advancement.

Writer A. Asohan wrote: "...you started to grow up, and race increasingly became a factor. You became aware of race politics here. Insidious people would hint that being friends with the "Other" made you a traitor to your own race. The racist rot seems to have intensified over the subsequent generations. The bigotry we learned as adults are now being picked up by our primary schoolkids. Our leaders may, in a fit of progressiveness (by their standards), talk about racial tolerance, but acceptance and appreciation for other races and cultures seem beyond their ken. Racial intolerance in the country is getting worse, we tell ourselves, looking back to a more idyllic past. Bah, what crock! We Malaysians have always been racists. Heck, the entire human race has always found some illusive basis for discrimination. Race, religion, colour, creed, whether you were born north or south of that artificial line called a border – we spend an inordinate amount of our time and resources on delineating our differences rather than celebrating our similarities. If you married someone from a different race in the old days, you faced severe social censure and were treated as an outcast. Parents wrung their hands and tore at their hair, wailing “What did we do wrong? Aiyoh, how can you do this to us?"

A disappointed parent: "It is really sad. Parents spend huge amounts of money educating their children, but the ones who stand to benefit are the Singaporeans, Americans, Australians and the British. For as long as race politics is not done away with, the problem of brain drain will continue and Malaysia will always fall behind advanced countries, no matter how many twin towers and Putrajayas we build."

Malaysia Merdeka! Tetapi Transformasi Apa yang Perlu Dijanakan?

Pada 31 Ogos 2010, kita meraikan Hari Kemerdekaan yang ke-53. Apakah maknanya kemerdekaan untuk kita jika sistem negara dan rakyatnya masih dibelenggu sifat perkauman walaupun lebih 5 dekad usianya kebebasan dinikmati? Kongkongan sistem nasional serta pemikiran yang begitu sempit masih menghantui negara yang sedang membangun ini. Kegagalan sistem dan polisi untuk menyatukan rakyatnya serta jentera ekonomi yang semakin lemah seringkali mengusarkan ‘nasionalis moden’ dan juga ahli-ahli ekonomi. Apakah situasi ini akan berterusan? Tranformasi apa yang perlu dijanakan demi kepentingan bersama? Setelah sekian lama saya berhenti menulis, saya rasa saya bertanggungjawab untuk kembali menyatakan apa yang terbaik untuk negara pada hari yang penuh bersejarah ini.

Dengan megahnya pemimpin kita menyatakan “1Malaysia, Menjana Tranformasi“. Apabila rakan saya yang juga seorang tenaga pengajar menyatakan tema hari kebangsaan yang ke-53 tersebut, hanya satu persoalan yang terlintas yang pemikiran saya, apakah setelah lebih setengah abad kemerdekaan dicapai, kita baru hendak menjana transformasi? Walaupun bunyinya pelik, kita terpaksa menongkah segala cabaran negara dengan mengikut arus perdana yang dipimpin oleh Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak. 2010 adalah masa untuk rakyat jelata menikmati transformasi negara yang telah dilaksanakan, bukannya untuk menjana transformasi yang baru seperti yang dikatakan oleh pemimpin kita. Dengan ini, jelaslah bahawa negara kita ketinggalan zaman dalam semua aspek menyebabkan pemimpin kita melaungkan tema yang ‘outdated’ seumpama ini. Hakikatnya negara kita sudah merdeka, tetapi rakyatnya masih ‘dijajah’ oleh tema seumpama ini.

Tranformasi? Apa yang anda faham? Tranformasi dalam aspek apa yang akan dijanakan? Cukuplah segala penipuan! Kata-kata pemimpin kita hanya sekadar mengucap daripada mengota. ‘Tranformasi’ yang saya faham adalah ‘Rakyat diperkudakan untuk menjana tranformasi ekonomi pemimpin’. Jangan terkejut, percaya atau tidak kebanyakkan hasil mahsul negara yang melimpah telah dirompak oleh pemimpin kita sendiri. Mari kita bandingkan Malaysia dengan Singapura, saban hari hampir 2 juta rakyat Malaysia menyeberangi Selat Tebrau untuk bekerja di sana. Mengapakah kita perlu bekerja di negeri orang? Cuba anda nyatakan kelemahan kita berbanding Singapura! Petroleum, gas asli, getah, minyak sawit, kayu balak, serta lain-lain hasil semulajadi yang menjadikan negara kita berkali-kali ganda lebih kaya daripada Singapura, jadi dimanakah kelemahannya? Kelemahan kita hanya pada pemimpin negara yang tidak pandai untuk menguruskan hasil negara. Kita juga mempunyai ruang, segala kemudahan, tidaklah seperti negara jiran yang lain.

Jika kita beralih kepada zaman pra-kemerdekaan, pelbagai kaum di negara kita telah menumpahkan darah, air mata dan keringat untuk memerdekakan negara. Perjuangan mereka tidak diteruskan malah dicemari dengan pelbagai insiden yang memalukan. Peristiwa hitam 13 Mei 1969 (pertembungan antara kaum Cina dan Melayu), Kampung Medan 2001 (pertembungan antara kaum Melayu dan India), penyalahgunaan keris oleh sesetengah pemimpin dalam perhimpunan agong UMNO, perarakan kepala lembu, seserangan ke atas rumah ibadat yang berlaku baru baru ini di ibu kota serta beberap tempat yang lain, pengetua dan tenaga pengajar yang racist, dan sebagainya telah menunjukkan betapa kendurnya persaudaraan antara kaum dan agama di negara kita. Walaupun segelintir pihak menafikan perkara ini, namun saya rasa kita boleh berfikir dan melihat sendiri apa yang telah berlaku dan sedang berlaku di negara kita. Kita bukanya bodoh untuk mempercayai bulat-bulat apa yang dipaparkan oleh media. Apa yang penting di sini adalah persaingan sihat antara kaum di negara kita antara kita dalam semua bidang termasuk pendidikan, sukan, ekonomi dan seumpamanya. Pergaduhan dan perebutan/kegilaan kuasa tidak melambangan kekuatan sesuatu kaum itu, sebaliknya hanya melambangan kejahilan.

Tujuan saya mengutarakan kelemahan-kelemahan pemerinthan dan sistem bukanlah untuk meremehkan mana-mana pihak. Tetapi adalah sebagai ilham untuk kita berusaha kearah transformasi yang saya maksudkan. Saya amat berharap para ‘nasionalis moden’ tidak berputus asa, tetapi bergerak ke hadapan untuk mencapai perpaduan melalui konsep Bangsa Malaysia. Hari ini, apabila ketika kita menoleh ke belakang, kita dapat mengetahui bahawa pemimpin telah memandu negara ini secara membabi buta sekian lama melalui perjuangan politik perkauman dan pecah perintah. Walaupun, ada yang merasakan kita terlambat dalam mengambil beberapa langkah, terutama dalam soal perpaduan. Jadi marilah kita sama-sama menolak politik perkauman dan pemikiran racist dengan menumpukan perkara yang lebih penting terutamanya dalam bidang ekonomi, pendidikan, sukan dan serta bidang-bidang yang setara dengannya.

Setiap warganegara Malaysia harus menyedari bahawa ini adalah negara kepunyaan mereka dan semestinya mereka harus bertanggungjawab keatas segala kebaikan dan keburukkan yang berlaku ke atas negara. Sempena hari yang mulia ini, janganlah kita membuang masa kita dengan sembang-sembang kosong di kedai-kedai Mamak, sebaliknya berfikir tentang masa depan negara dan ‘transformasi’ yang diperlukan oleh negara kita secara keseluruhnya. ‘Transformasi’ yang dinyatakan oleh pemimpin-pemimpin kita terlalu implisit serta sukar difahami, seperti biasalah mereka hanya pandai melakar slogan-slogan yang canggih sebaliknya gagal menjelaskannya dan menunaikannya kepada rakyat secara telus. Jangan marah dan jangan merungut jika semua ini berlaku, ini adalah pilihan anda sendiri!

Selamat Hari Merdeka kepada seluruh warganegara Malaysia yang berada di dalam atau luar negara. Saya juga mengambil kesempatan ini untuk menekankan sekali lagi tentang tranformasi pemikiran yang perlu berlaku dalam kalangan kita. Marilah kita sama-sama menerima antara satu sama lain seterusnya menolak segala pemikiran negatif demi kemakmuran negara yang tercinta.

Malaysian Government failed to deliver Press Freedom

THE PREVIOUS YEARS RESULT:

The press freedom index immediately drew criticism from Malaysian groups, which called on the government to free the press and bloggers. The repeated violations of the free flow of press and the bullies on bloggers are the main reasons for giving a low rating to countries like Malaysia.

The violations included arrests of bloggers and closure or difficulty in accessing news websites in our country. The increase in cases of online censorship is because the government has realized that the Internet can play a key role in the fight for democracy and they are establishing newmethods of censoring it. The government of repressive countries is now targeting bloggers and online journalists as forcefully as journalists in the traditional media.

The fall should be accepted as a wake-up call for the nation and the government. Th result shows how low the country has sunk after half a century in the press freedom. The harassment of web activists and cyber-dissidents - Raja Petra Kamarudin (malaysiaToday), Sheih (Kickdefella), Aduka Teruna, Namewee and several others also lead Malaysia to the worst performance.

Undeniably, the recently released new ranking of press freedom index of Malaysia worst than most of the African nations and South East Asia nations. In fact, more freedom of press and information will make this government to become more competitive, but poor Malaysian government failed to admit the fact and continuously put pressures on the presses and Medias.

One of the biggest failure of MIC: School sports on a 'concrete field'

Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC) failed terribly to solve the problem that faced by SJK (T) Ladang Bukit Jalil. Claiming that they are one and the only representative of Malaysian Indian, they have unsuccessful to save the Malaysian ethnic Indians from deprived condition. After I stopped updating my blog for a long time, I feel responsible to highlight this issue since saddened by the difficulties that faced by the students.

I feel sorry for the students when they are only able to perform their sports activities in a so called 'concrete field'. This is what MIC has done for more than 50 years? When everyone starts blaming MIC, they always telling that they are doing works and keep doing. But is this the result? Don't you feel nonsense? Who to blame if not MIC alone when Tamil schools under such condition?

''''SUKAN TAHUNAN SEKOLAH JENIS KEBANGSAAN LADANG BUKIT JALIL DI ATAS LANTAI SIMEN?????'''' How you feel brothers and sisters? Don't you feel ashamed when our rich country unable to serve the citizen even with proper education and sports facilities? However I don't feel shocked since there are hundreds of schools in such deprived conditions. 9 years to march on towards Wawasan 2020, but this is what we have for our children? I'm not politicking this issue here, please understand!! Don't always shut up the mouth of people who eager to voice out the problem that our nation facing.

I CHOOSE MALAYSIAN FIRST BEFORE MY ETHNICITY

Racial sentiments, riots, inequality in power sharing, fanatic personalities, discrimination against minority and I have a long list on showing unity among Malaysian in dilemma. Over the decades, all Malaysians including Malays, Chinese and Indians have shed their blood, tear and sweat to build up this nation. We have sacrifice a lot for the cause of unity, integrity and progress. Why until today there are no successes for these struggles?

Sincerely, I ask this question not to belittle our achievements, but to inspire us to greater effort. I ask not to make us feel dispirited, but to enthuse us to march forward to achieve the unity through BANGSA MALAYSIA concept. Today, when we look back, we can say with dissatisfaction that we are blindly moving forward in the wrong direction. We have been slow in taking some steps, especially when unity is the matter. We have failed to battle against racism especially when position, economic, education, sports and other main fields are the subjects.

Sometimes I lost my hope due to the negative attitude of the people surrounding me including some of my lecturers and course mates. They are thinking that racism needs to be expressed to the minorities as they are having power as the majority. Is it right? Please tell me that are they being professional enough? Such racial actions and words directly weakening my spirit, I hope all this could change in near time.

BANGSA MALAYSIA must be in the heart of every Malaysian citizen regardless of their background, admitting the same identity needed for unity of our nation. We must fritter away our time on minor issues and pointless personal dissimilarities. All political parties and NGO leaders must stop divide people along racial lines and threat every citizen fairly without discrimination or intimidation. Our strength is in our unity, despite our diversity. We can’t deny the fact that unity gave us our Independence that today we are enjoying and the strength of a nation that we can be proud of.

I can smell racism everywhere. Let’s throw away this ‘third class’ mentality. Let’s unite to build our nation for our future generation. Every citizen of Malaysia must feel proud to say - I'm a Malaysian first.

I'M TRYING TO OVERCOME THE 'CULTURE OF FEAR' EVEN THOUGH RECEIVING AND GOING TO RECEIVE PRESSURES FROM VARIOUS SITES (AUTHORITIES, CAMPUS ADMINISTRATION, POLITICIANS, GOVERNMENT AND ETC)

After almost two years since I started to write my opinion via blog, I received a lot of pressures from various party including my campus administration. I think I need to make decision now whether I should stop everything here or continue to deliver the inner feeling of mine.

I am blurring now, the Timbalan Pengarah Pengurusan of my campus, Encik Abu Bakar warned me in front of my campus mates to stop writing such articles. ‘Mana Vasantaro! Angkat tangan!’ he 'shouted' in the weekly assembly past Monday in front of almost 700 students and lecturers. I don’t know what was his intention whether to humiliate me or he has his personal agendas in his mind.

I know something will happen that morning when he started to talk about networking. My guess was right that he definitely would mention about me because he met me personally few months ago and told me to stop writing such articles in blog. It’s a fact that he rarely gives speech in the assembly, but his first speech in this year is all about to urge me to stop blogging such articles. Anything wrong with my articles?

No matter what had happened, I am still respecting and inspired from the guaranteed freedom of speech in Article 1o of the federal constitution. Whether 174 Act (my campus act) or University and University College Act (UUCA) stopping me, I believe that federal constitution is more respectable, noble and the highest of the all constitutions in our nation. I hope my campus administration knows that.

And the most important thing is my writings are apolitical, I did not voiced out direct support to any political parties. I write the fact and truth, what can I do if the ruling party really failed the nation, why I must scared to write the truth? Is it wrong if I attacked them in my blog? Why I must always shut my mouth even though the cruelty done by the government is very open and clear?

Is it wrong to write the truth? Is it wrong to tell what our heart speaks? Is it wrong to tell something good to the development of my beloved nation? My dear brothers and sisters, if you support my cause, leave your opinion here, and if don’t just ignore this post. I will wait for the response of my friends whether I should stop my writing or continue as usual.

I leave it you, because my all my writings so far is just for you. Forgive me if I hurt anyone in my writing, my intention is not to hurt anyone, but to build a bright and ideal Malaysia for our future generations with my fellow brother and sisters.

Segelintir umat Islam di negara kita membantah pengunaan perkataan 'Allah' oleh Gereja-gereja dan akhbar-akhbar Kristian. Ini bukan sahaja melambangkan ketidakmatangan mereka untuk menerima sesuatu kebenaran, malah bercanggah dengan realiti Islam yang sering menekankan elemen keterbukaan.

Menurut Wikipedia Bahasa Melayu-

Allah (bahasa Arab: الله‎, Allāh), adalah perkataan dalam bahasa Arab yang merujuk kepada Tuhan Yang Satu. Kata Allah adalah nama khas yang merujuk kepada Tuhan Yang Satu, yang telah mencipta, mentadbir dan memilik alam semesta. Perkataan Allah digunakan dalam agama Islam serta dalam masyarakat Kristian yang berbahasa Arab.

Jadi apakah salahnya jika perkataan 'Allah' digunakan oleh semua agama di dunia ini? Bukankah ini lebih memperhebatkan bahasa Arab sebagai salah satu bahasa utama dunia? Fikiran yang sempit perlu dielakan oleh segelintir umat Islam di Malaysia. Dunia sedang berubah dari masa ke semasa dengan lebih terbuka dan liberal, 'kefanatikan' pihak tersebut hanya satu perbuatan yang tidak masuk akal.

Betulkan saya jika saya silap. Walaupun saya beragama Hindu, apa yang saya faham tentang Islam adalah walaupun perang yang berlaku, undang-undang Islam menyebut bahawa wanita, kanak-kanak dan rumah ibadat tidak boleh diusik sama sekali. Namun perkara yang paling 'kurang ajar' dan menyedihkan berlaku apabila pihak yang tidak bertanggunggjawab bertindak membaling bom petrol ke arah sebuah Gereja di pusat bandar. Susulan daripada berita tersebut, gereja-gereja di sekitarnya telah mengambil langkah berjaga-jaga menghadapi 'keganasan' tersebut. Baca di sini- Gereja hangus dibaling bom petrol

GEREJA YANG DILETUPKAN OLEH PENGGANAS

Persoalan yang nyata adalah adakah keganasan menjadi penyelesaian utama masalah ini? Begitu fanatiknya segentir umat Islam di negara ini sehinggakan tidak pandai menghargai keamanan yang kita nikmati sekarang. Golongan ini semestinya ada kepentingan diri sendiri samada politik atau kuasa. Manakala kerajaan pula tidak mampu untuk menangani isu ini, seolah-olah mereka membenarkan ia berlaku.

Saya ingin menekankan bahawa pegangan agama seseorang manusia adalah bergantung kepada dirinya sendiri, ia tidak boleh dilakukan melalui paksaan, keganasan, ketakutan atau dengan desakan sistem atau polisi kerajaan. Kebebasan agama perlu dihormati agar dunia sentiasa berada dalam keadaan yang aman.

A lot of thing I learnt since I started to blog. I wrote my personal view on nation’s politics, education, sports, leadership, economy and several other fields, eventually received a lot of feedback from readers, some of them supported me and another group of them criticised and screwed me indeed. I begin New Year with new hope for my beloved Malaysian.

In conjunction with New Year, I have list of hopes to change Malaysia to be the best. I'm confident that most of the Malaysians hope as well same with mine. Truly speaking, Malaysia left out far from the developed nation status. We owned third class facilities and mentalities, not much things to proud of. Our leaders love to blame others, instead learn from the first world nations.

In year 2010, same as previous years I hope dramatic changes on our,

Politics and electoral system:

two party system solid coalitions of (BN-PR), proven effectiveness in United States, Britain, and Canada, has proven system's effectiveness

more clean and transparent Election Commission

emphasis people’s need first before party ideology

Education:

single school system agreed by all (without effecting mother tongue)

abolish quota system bring again merit system

higher education students allowed to involved in politics

problematic and racist teacher needs to be suspended and punished according to their disciplinary misbehaves

Sports:

reform national football team again as it was in 70’s and 80’s with a bag of multiracial players

hope to see more world champions for example Lee Chong Wei and Nicol David

Leadership:

its doesn't matter lead the nation, must be fair and give equal rights to everyone despite the diversity of race and religion

not only take care of their and family members and cronies

Law/judiciary:

abolish Internal Security Act (ISA), the law that haunting social activist, opposition leaders and race based organization leaders from time to time

abolish other act as well, including AUKU and OSA

judiciary system must stay apolitical, uncorrupted and unbiased

Economy:

special plan by government to eradicate poverty

fuel price strictly follow the world price

government must stop waste taxpayers money and nations wealth on unprofitable projects and expends

old budget updated immediately in subsequent to the world economic crisis

Security and enforcement:

take action on policeman who abuse their power

immediately suspend authority who proven involved in corruption

set up special squad to reduce and combat crime rate in the affected housing area

police to stop their brutality towards people

While PM Najib is paying up ‘1Malaysia’ lip services as usual in uniting all Malaysians, PAS with their own ‘PAS for all’ slogan wooing non Muslims to back them. Both parties have their respective approaches in order to promote their slogan.

1Malaysia is an on-going campaign announced by PM Najib on September 16, 2008. He calls for the cabinet, government agencies, and civil servants to more strongly emphasize ethnic harmony, national unity, and efficient governance. After more than one year on, it seems like ‘word speaks louder than action’.

The people does not know what is the true meaning of 1Malaysia whereas PM still maintaining his ‘racial formula’ in managing our nation. The dividing policy of all Malaysians into Bumiputera and non-Bumiputera verse, depressions against the minorities and corrupted administration denying his efforts to build up 1Malaysia.

'PAS for all' by PAS

While PM emphasizing on 1Malaysia concept, PAS is championing ‘PAS for all’ concept to attract the non-Muslims to support them. One of the evidence that PAS succeeded to create the confidence on non-Muslims when large number of Non Muslims voted for them in the past General Election.

Beside that, PAS strongly oppose the ‘Bumiputera’ policy that was introduced by UMNO. This emerges PAS as fair to all among the Non Muslims. The fair and equal leaderships in Kelantan, Kedah and formerly in Perak which led by PAS MBs also show that the party is really struggling for all.

Should learn from each other

1Malaysia sounds superb but sadly PM has nothing to impress the people. In fact, 1Malaysia is a wonderful ideology but disappointingly no proper implementations to endorse it. Hope PM Najib learns from PAS on how to lead all Malaysians fairly and equally regardless of race and religion.

Mahathir Anak Lelaki Iskandar Kutty a.k.a Mahathir bin Mohamed

MAHATHIR'S FOREFATHERS WERE FROM KERALA STATE, INDIA

Mahathir's forefathers are from South India in Kerala state. Mahathir was born and named as Mahathir s/o Iskandar Kutty @Mahathir Mohamed. Mahathir's father, (Iskandar Kutty) was a school teacher of Indian origin, specifically Malayalam (people in South India, Kerala state), having migrated from the southern state of Kerala.

He is the fourth Prime Minister of Malaysia which he held for 22 years. From 1981 to 2003, he is the country's longest serving Prime Minister as well as in the whole of Asia. Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad started life not as Malay but as Malayali -the people of Kerala in south India, where his father came from. When he was studying in a university in Singapore, Mahathir was listed as an indian.

Mahathir is full of paradoxes on racial issues. Many of his policies have had the effect of reducing the racial element in government decisions, watering down the agenda to advance malay interests. But in fact he failed to protect and maintain the immunity of Malay rulers. Yet, despite his trumpeting of Asian identity, Mahathir appears ashamed to admit his Indian heritage.

In his book, A New Deal for Asia, he writes about his father in such a way as to imply that he was Malay dedicated to the improvement of his fellow Malays rather than the hard-working Indian immigrant and government servant that he was. He has forgotten his root! It's hard to accept this truth for those racist, but lets be open and don't simply deny the fact just because you are a racist!

Gangguan seksual di sebuah Institut Pendidikan Guru Malaysia (IPGM): Kerajaan perlu memandang serius perkara ini

Sebuah Institut Pendidikan Guru di ibu negara dicemari dengan gangguan seksual oleh pensyarah terhadap penuntutnya. Tindakan yang sewajarnya tidak diambil walaupun laporan telah dibuat kepada pihak atasan Institut tersebut. Saya mendapat maklumat ini daripada blog seorang guru pelatih yang menjadi mangsa gangguan seksual pensyarah lelakinya. Baca di sini- Gangguan Seksual diIPBA???

Pensyarah lelaki terbabit sering menyentuh bahagian tertentu tubuh guru pelatih perempuan. Menurut mangsa pensyarah tersebut tetap menyentuh walaupun dia bertindak menghalang perbuatan tersebut. Di samping itu, pensyarah terbabit juga menggangu guru pelatih perempuan melalui pujuk rayu di telefon.

Ibu bapa mangsa dan mangsa sendiri merasakan kampus latihan tersebut sebagai tempat yang tidak selamat untuk menuntut ilmu. Malah pihak pentadbir juga gagal melindungi guru pelatih perempuan dan seterusnya gagal mangambil tindakan terhadap pensyarah yang kurang ajar tersebut.

Saya secara tidak langsungnya mewakili guru-guru pelatih seluruh negara mengharapkan agar tindakan yang setimpal diambil terhadap pensyarah yang berkelakuan biadap terhadap guru-guru pelatih perempuan. Tindakan ini juga penting untuk memartabatkan profesion perguruan dan mengembalikan kepercayaan dan keselesaan guru-guru pelatih yang menjadi mangsa gangguan seksual.

Di samping itu, saya juga mengaharapkan pihak-pihak di luar sana yang terbaca petikan ini dan blog mangsa tersebut membawa perkara ini kepada media untuk perhatian umum dan kerajaan. Ini penting agar penuntut-penuntut atau mahasiswa/siswi yang juga akan menjadi pemimpin masa hadapan sentiasa berada dalam keadaan selesa ketika menuntut ilmu.
