History made in Bukit Selambau with the largest number of candidates contesting in a by-election. Even though there are 13 independent candidates join the struggle to wrest N25 Bukit Selambau together with BN and PKR, I don't think they will be big threats to the top contestants. I do believe the people of Bukit Selambau will wisely make decision in choosing best candidate for their constituency.

Hope clean tactics used by party politics and their candidates in order to respect people's rights to vote and definitely to protect the democracy system in Malaysia.

Problematic MIC

Again and again MIC leaders are troubling and exploiting Malaysian Indian for their own political purposes. This time, they used a Tamil school in Skudai, Johor Bahru holding their official state meeting on March 8 2009 in the school premise. The meeting even officiated by Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister department SK Devamany. AS a deputy minister, he should be aware of the laws and regulations. SHAME ON HIM! PARENTS AND CONCERNED CITIZEN HOLDING POLICE REPORTS AGAINST MIC LEADERS

Other than the shameful incident, 'computer classes' also held in the school every weekend for MIC members. RM30 charged for per person for the classes by the school administration. SHAME ON YOU MIC AGAIN! Facilities in schools are for students not for MIC members. If even it held in every weekend, the classes suppose to be held for students.

A lot of scandals haunting MIC leaders since decades ago, MAIKA, MIED scandals and Sujatha murder case still fresh in Malaysian Indian's mind. They come up with another case. Do you think Malaysian Indian need such a corrupted, scandalous, problematic MIC leaders? Can these kind of leaders direct them to a better bright future for generations to come?

Actually, MIC get the peoples voice, but they purposely ignoring them. If they refuse to change, Malaysian Indian will completely 'kill' and 'bury' them in the next general election. Just wait and see!

He Deserves Respect from All Malaysian for this Cause

The statements above delivered by Pak Lah today during Umno general assembly. He admit that he had done not enough to the Malaysian. Read here- PM: I'm sorry for my shortcomings. For this cause, its nothing wrong if we allow him to stay as PM and give him more time to complete his task as a Prime Minister.

He should stay as PM to deliver his promises. At least until the next General election. What you think? We must admit that none of the Umno ministers or leaders has apologies sincerely to the people for the weaknesses and imperfections before this. Pak Lah is the one who break the record of the arrogant Umno leaders at the every first time. A salute to Pak Lah!

Keris Again... What does it Actualy Means?

I still remember Hishammuddin Apologised to non-Malays as well as Malays over the brandishing of a keris (Malay dagger) during Umno's general assembly year ago. But he did it again this year, Keris seems like appear again in Umno general assembly today.

The education minister had raised the keris during the Umno Youth assemblies for the past three years, claiming that it symbolised Malay supremacy and Umno's role in defending that. After the youth wing's annual assembly last year, he had also defended his actions, calling the keris a symbol of strength. I'm just wondering that is there no other material or tools to represent 'strength'?

Reject 'Malay supremacy', the time is now for UMNO championing all Malaysian. They should have learnt it right after the massive defeats in the march 8 GE. The days of being racial champions are over. Stoking up the racial fire will not deliver votes, please wake up.

I don't think the unsheathing and brandishing of the dagger is part of Malay culture. I think my Malay friends do not do it in our daily life or during any ceremonial functions. And I had never seen such action so far. It is outrageous that he does it despite the criticisms. He is being insensitive and irresponsible to all Malaysians.

Last Sunday, I visited Bukit Gantang. The area is one of the three constituencies that having by-election at the same time on 7th April 2009. Even before the nomination and election day, I can feel the heat of the campaigns. The main contesters-BN and PAS supporters have started their battles through party's flags.

During the visit, there are complains from some local residents who frustrated with the road construction works which cause heavy traffic jam in the area. Look at some pictures that I have taken during my visit to Bukit Gantang.

Independent Candidates may Increase the Winning Prospects of Barisan National

Several numbers of independent candidates who come forward to contest in Bukit Selambau by-election make the way tough for Pakatan Rakyat to retain the seat. So far, the independent candidates those vowed to contest mostly their backgrounds are from opposition parties. Probably opposition’s votes are divisible by the candidates.

Let’s do some calculations, if 5 independent candidates contesting, each candidate gained at least 500 votes or more. Just imagine how much it will affect Pakatan Rakyat’s prospect of winning. We can witness the split of more than 2 500 votes.

Days before, Ganeson (former Lunas assemblyman) announced as BN candidate, and then Anwar Ibrahim announced S Manikumar as Pakatan Rakyat representative. Right after that, they are a small group PKR members voiced out dissatisfaction against the PR’s choice, claiming that he is not a ‘local’ candidate. So the independent candidates may take it as another grounds to fight for the seat.

Samy Velu said Ganesan is a worthy candidate while Anwar fielded a new fresh young candidate for the battle. And they will be facing several numbers of independent candidates in Bukit Selambau. Whatever the politicians doing, the decision is in Bukit Selambau voter’s hand. Let’s see what’s going to happen then.

Unlearnt Lessons (March 8 Anniversary)

THE DAY MALAYSIA WOKE UP

What evidence are there in the past one year, the message of the March 8 "political tsunami" has been fully heard and understood by the Barisan Nasional government? What we have are rhetoric but precious little action and results. What proactive actions have the government taken to forge greater unity among Malaysians from diverse races, languages, cultures, religions and territories? And what they have done to deliver better democracies to the people?

The post-general election claim by the Prime Minister that he has finally heard the voice of the people is not true at all. This is best reflected by the back door wrest of the Perak state government from Pakatan Rakyat. In fact, Pakatan Rakyat becomes stronger and more consolidated since the incident took place.

The next illustration proved that past one year were lost year in national healing were some racial slurs in parliament, schools (teachers) and public. From Ahmad Ismail, Cikgu Rushita, Pasir Salak MP to the Gunung Rapat ADUN (Hamidah Osman). The most irritating part was when the Gunung Rapat ADUN was “awarded” as EXCO in the form of new Perak “back door government” under Barisan Nasional administration.

The use of Internal Security Act (ISA) against bloggers, social activist and journalists showed evidence that Barisan Nasional yet to reform their mindset to deliver better democracies. Some detainees even denied proper medical treatment (HINDRAF lawyer, Mr Uthayakumar case).


Barisan Nasional has not learnt the lessons of the March 8 2008 "political tsunami" since its still able to survive the political tsunami in the March general election. From the lost in the by Elections (Permatang Pauh to Kuala Terengganu), and I guess there are few more to come in next month (Bukit Selambau, Bukit Gantang and Batang Ai). May be it will learn all only after much more massive defeats in the future.

Barisan Nasional still bravely maintaining its irrelevant policies and systems although their credibility to rule disappearing by the day!
