Yesterday the Cabinet ordered the ban on Malaysia Today lifted. Today the police arrested its editor, Raja Petra Kamaruddin. The Government is using the mighty and dreadful Internal Security Act(ISA). Raja Petra Kamaruddin has been detained under the Internal Security Act(ISA) in his house at aroud 1.10pm. He was arrested with 10 police personnel who arrived at his home in Sungai Buloh.
His wife Marina Lee Abdullah received a 'notis penangkapan' of Raja Petra from Chief Inspector Azrin Abu Bakar. The stated reason of detention of Raja Petra was

She had been arrested for reporting Ahmad Ismail's seditious speech at a Permatang Pauh by-election ceramah on August 23 that the Chinese in Malaysia are “squatters” in the country and which resulted in a nation-wide political crisis.
