Don’t forget that Tok Guru’s administration in Kelantan frequently clashed on the role of Islam in Malaysia with the former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir. In contrast with the racially-exclusive ruling party UMNO, he openly rejects communal politics. Tok Guru even stated that ‘Bumiputra term is racist’. Dr Mahathir ruled Malaysia upon growing the racism, while Tok Guru never did that. In this case, Dr Mahathir lost his rights to comment the PAS spiritual leader.
Beside that, under his leadership as PAS spiritual leader and Kelantan MB, no one of his party member hopped to other party or becomes independent. We already witnessed DAP, PKR, and even UMNO leaders hopped to other party or become independent, but that did not happned in PAS. That shows how strong is Tok Guru’s leadership and the PAS members themselves in their ideologies.
Believe me that one thing you could never accuse him of is corruption and the easy life. He is modest in is life and humble to the people around him. Despite his position as Menteri Besar, he lives in his small house and leads a very moderate life instead of using an official government residence. What a great leader we have in our nation.
His ‘true Islamic style’ of leadership able to unite all Malaysians, it’s totally different from UMNO who failed to unite Malaysian under one roof for more than 50 years of the leadership. I hope that all leaders in our nation regardless of political background, religion and ethnicity to emulate him. If that happens, I’m sure Malaysia will become a prosperous, rich, harmony and peace nation.

Only in Kelantan that u can see religious tolerence..we have the a lot of Buddhist temple here and 1 of the temple is the largest 1...i guess, if PAS is lost to the BN n the future General Election, thr'll b a massive destruction of temples...
we can see how Tok Guru is open in the aspect on religion ...
UMNO should learn from them...
