Permatang Pauh, which is in the home state of our PM in the spotlights of the Malaysian this time. Anwar Ibrahim will be contesting the Permatang Pauh parliamentary seat, now he is waiting for the election commission to announce date of the by-election. Datuk Seri Azizah Ismail, improved her winning margin to over 13,000 votes in March this year compared with only 590 votes in 2004. She has submitted her resignation to the Parliament Speaker, Tan Sri Pandikar Amin Mulia.
The election must be held within 60 days. Will Anwar make his way back after almost 10 years out of the parliament?
